Dynaphos invites you to get up close and personal with the Cooke Anamorphic/i
In mid-August, Dynaphos is preparing several interesting meetings for everyone who shoots or plans to shoot cinema. On the 15th, you can get a close look at the legendary Cooke Anamorphic lenses, and for a full 6 hours from 12:00 to 18:00, you will have the opportunity not only to see them live in our showroom but also to try them out. We have prepared 40mm and 75mm Special Flair, as well as 100mm with standard coatings.
The event is supported by RED, and the new V-Raptor [X] will be available. So why dedicate the 15th of August to this unique presentation for the country?
You have at least three reasons:
1. Anamorphic lenses and cinema have gone hand in hand since the early 20th century – then preferred for expanding the frame and field of view to avoid using 65mm film. Now – chosen for both their wide-angle capability and the unique characteristics produced by the anamorphic element in the lens.
2. For anyone interested in anamorphic cinema, Cooke is a recognizable brand – their lenses have been used in countless hit productions, and it's no coincidence that their slogan is already iconic: The Cooke Look! It perfectly suits Cooke's new line – Anamorphic/i, featuring the same recognizable rendering but in a modern package, with impeccable mechanics, and now covering large format. The series includes 8 lenses ranging from 32mm to 180mm, with the 85mm being a macro lens. All lenses are balanced and color-matched with the same maximum aperture of T2.3 (excl. 85mm Macro at T2.8 and 180mm at T2.9). The lenses have a 1.8x squeeze factor, which provides flexibility in choosing the shooting format.
3. When purchasing a Cooke lens, the brand offers an additional option for the coatings of the glass elements – Special Flair. This is a patented coating that gives reflections a new dimension, while the bokeh and aberrations help your projects achieve uniqueness and a distinctive character.
Don't wait any longer to try something that cinema masters know why they use on set. We look forward to seeing you at our event at 12:00 on August 15th with free entry at our studio, where you can experience The Cooke Look. Here's how to get to us:

Recently, photographer Georgi Nedelchev demonstrated with Cooke whether a photographic composition can be shot with a cinema lens and whether cinema can be shot with a photographic lens.
