Teradek Bolt 6 XT 1500 12G-SDI/HDMI Wireless RX V-Mount

Bolt 6 XT is a real-time wireless video transmission system that supports 4K video with Teradek's patented Zero Delay technology, now with less interference due to the newly opened 6 GHz radio frequency. Bolt 6 XT can transmit and receive color-accurate true HDR video in less than 0.001 seconds when using the Bolt 6 XT video transmitter and receiver included in the kit.

Key features of the Bolt 6 XT include range options designed for a variety of production needs, fast reconnect times, intuitive and easy setup with the Bolt Manager app for iOS or Android, and robust connectivity. The Bolt-6-XT Series uses the 6GHz band to provide users with better image quality and less interference. When used in high-traffic areas, the 6GHz frequency provides Bolt 6 XT users with more frequency adjustment options with twelve new channels. Bolt 6 can also transmit metadata, timecode and start/stop flags from most camera manufacturers.

The Bolt 6 XT has been redesigned to fit seamlessly into your setup. It's smaller, lighter, and runs cooler and 50% quieter than the Bolt 4K. An integrated 5-pin USB port allows for effortless and wireless camera control when using SmallHD smart monitors and an improved long-range wireless video mode. The Bolt 6 also provides new tools for high-end users to have better visibility of their connections and signals, making workflow safer in any environment, no matter how challenging.

The included transmitters and receivers are compatible with the entire Bolt 4K series - including Bolt 4K, Bolt 4K LT and the Bolt 4K monitor modules - giving you the ability to expand your workflow needs. Connect up to six receivers to one transmitter, or an unlimited number of receivers when using broadcast mode (available on MAX models).

Bolt 6 XT is available in three different ranges: 750 feet (220 meters), 1500 feet (440 meters) and the MAX set, with up to 5,000 feet (1500 meters). Additionally, you can upgrade your set with gold or V-mount battery plates.

Above 6 GHz:
Wifi routers, cell phones, IOT devices, and competitor wireless video systems are among the many devices that use the 5GHz frequency for wireless communication, resulting in a highly congested area where interference and even video dropouts are common. The Bolt 6 uses the newly opened 6GHz frequency for a much quieter wireless environment (although it can still be set up in 5GHz mode for backwards compatibility). In 6GHz mode, Bolt 6 users get faster connections and less interference for a better WLAN experience. The 6GHz frequency is now available in the U.S. and Canada per UNII-5 government specifications. Additional countries will release the 6GHz frequency in 2023.

Notes:

The 6GHz band is expected to be released in the EU in the first quarter of 2023, at which time it will be available as a free firmware upgrade. Until then, you can use the device in the 5GHz band.
For the 6GHz band, Bolt 6 uses different antennas than its predecessor, Bolt 4K.
