About the product

Built as a smaller alternative to Tamron’s popular 35-150mm, this lens is designed for photographers who want a lighter kit without giving up performance. The lens measures only 121.5mm and weighs 575g for Nikon Z.

Image quality is handled by an advanced optical design with special elements to control aberrations and keep detail crisp. BBAR-G2 coating helps reduce flare and ghosting, while the 9-blade circular diaphragm delivers smooth, natural-looking bokeh that works especially well for portraits.

The lens also performs well up close. You can focus down to 0.22m at the wide end for tighter framing and detail shots, and 0.65m at the telephoto end. A 67mm filter thread matches most Tamron mirrorless lenses, making it simple to share filters across your kit.

For fast and quiet focusing, Tamron uses its VXD linear motor, designed to track moving subjects reliably. The lens is ready for outdoor use with moisture-resistant construction and a fluorine coating on the front element for easier cleaning and extra protection. A Focus Set Button and Custom Switch can be assigned via camera menus or Tamron Lens Utility for iOS, Android and PC. The lens supports key camera features like Eye AF and in-camera lens corrections.
