The Panchro/i Classic takes the image of the legendary original Cooke Speed Panchros which first established the optical characteristics that we now know as the Cooke Look and evolves it with a modern design.

The Panchro/i Classic offer spectacular optical performance, including use at maximum aperture (consistent T2.2 across key focal lengths) while retaining control of flare, distortion and aberrations. The entire range is colour balanced and matched to ensure consistency, not just across the Panchro/i Classic lineup but also for use with other Cooke lenses like the S8/i FF and S7/i FF.

Cooke's /i Technology allows cameras to record key lens data for every frame shot, allowing post-production teams to access it digitally. Key information on lens setting, focusing distance, aperture and depth-of-field, hyperfocal distance, lens serial number and more, allow production and post work to be streamlined, eliminate guesswork and save time.

The Panchro/i Classics are precisely crafted using a combination of modern and traditional grinding and polishing techniques. Edging and blackening are thoroughly performed to achieve accurate lens alignment and minimal flaring. The lenses are meticulously assembled, tested, checked and re-checked to ensure the best quality.

Cooke's Panchro/i Classic is a range of 12 lenses covering from ultrawide to telephoto, with the widest lens in the series being a 18mm and the longest - 152mm. All of the lenses in the set are colour balanced and colour matched, as well as most focal lengths sharing a maximum aperture of T2.2 (excl. 65mm Macro at T2.4, 100mm at T2.6, 135mm at T2.8 and 152mm at T3.0).
