The Atlas LF Extender, also known as the ALC-16XLPL or ALC16XLPL, is a versatile adaptor designed for use with the Orion Series 2x anamorphic primes. This extender is compatible with PL to PL or PL to LPL mounts, making it the perfect tool for converting your lenses to cover larger than S35 formats.
With a 1.6x magnification, the Atlas LF Extender allows for edge to edge coverage on a variety of camera sensors, including those found on popular models such as the ARRI LF, Sony VENICE, and RED Monstro. It can also be used with other Full Frame, Vistavision, and LF cameras, providing a wide range of compatibility for your filming needs.
The LF Extender boasts superior optical performance, even when used wide open, with only 1 and 1/3 stop light loss. To ensure the best results, each extender comes with a check gauge that allows you to easily verify that the rear element of your lens will not interfere with the extender optics.
It's important to note that the Atlas LF Extender is not compatible with EF mounts. However, if you are using a 35mm format (non FF/LF sensor), this extender can still be used to extend your lenses by 1.6x. For example, a 100mm lens would become 160mm, and an 80mm lens would become 127mm.
