We will discuss what the main characteristics of light are and how to control them. We'll look at the types of lighting as an influence on the photo - painting, fill, etc, as well as the different contrasts and balancing.

In the Fundamentals of Studio Photography course there are 2 fully practical sessions where the lecturer and course students photograph together. In this way all students will get a direct opportunity to work with high quality studio lighting themselves, of course under the expert guidance of the course tutor. Basic skills are related to light source selection, light modifier, lighting power and balance, adequate light metering, etc.
