Who is the course for?

For hobby photographers and professionals who want to take their first steps in studio photography and master the practical skills of working with artificial light.
The course is aimed at photographers who want to learn how to work with studio lighting and master light control in the shot.
During the training, each participant will learn what lighting equipment is used for studio shooting, what their settings are, how to use them, and what they are for.

Requirements

Optimal duration

The "Fundamentals of Studio Photography" course lasts 2 weeks, with classes held twice a week on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. In support of the comprehensive theoretical preparation, we have two entirely practical sessions where we will build several different lighting schemes, etc.

Convenient location

This course will be held at the studio of the Sofia Photographic School – 90 Tsvetan Lazarov Blvd. – 30 meters from Druzhba Metro Station and with direct connections to the rest of the public transport network – buses 204, 304, and 404, as well as trolleybuses 4 and 11. We also have free parking for the convenience of our students who travel by car.

The main skills involve choosing a light source, light modifier, power and balance of lighting, adequate light measurement, etc.

The "Fundamentals of Studio Photography" course is held twice a week and has a moderate workload for students.
