Experience a new kind of autofocus

The EOS R10 can recognize people, vehicles, and animals – such as cats, dogs, and birds – tracking them as they move anywhere across the frame8. Even fast-moving subjects are captured in sharp focus.

When shooting people, the EOS R10 prioritizes your subject's eyes first – the "window to the soul". If they are not visible, the face is tracked instead. And if your subject turns away for a moment, the head is next in line, followed by the body.

More speed

React instinctively, capturing fleeting moments with high-speed continuous shooting – ideal for wildlife and sports photography. The EOS R10 can shoot bursts of images as RAW, JPEG, or HEIF images at up to 15 frames1 per second (or 23 fps5 using the camera's electronic shutter). All the while keeping the subject in the frame, continuously adjusting focus and exposure in response to the changing scene.

Capture split-second moments

In RAW burst mode, you can shoot at up to 30 fps with a 75% crop, with images saved in a single movie file for tidy and easy organization. Individual images can then be extracted, processed, and edited with our free Digital Photo Professional (DPP) software. When pre-shooting is enabled in the camera menu, the EOS R10 captures 0.5 seconds of action before the shutter button is pressed, so you'll always catch that magical perfect moment.

The camera responds quickly to your commands, giving you a huge advantage when it comes to capturing the precise moment. A DIGIC X processor ensures responsive control and minimal lag or viewfinder blackout, so you'll always feel connected to the subject.

4K resolution that exceeds expectations

The EOS R10 captures outstanding 4K video that looks superb on UHD displays and allows for cropping without quality loss when editing for Full HD projects. Filmmakers can choose between 4K/60p3 for silky-smooth motion playback and slow-motion effects, or stunning oversampled 4K/30p, created from the 6K output of the camera's 24.2-megapixel sensor. You have to see the results to believe them.

Super-smooth motion

When shooting in Full HD mode, you can use frame rates of up to 120 fps, revealing even more subtleties in the motion of moving subjects.10 And for slow-motion scenes, the ability to create great 4K and Full HD time-lapse movies in-camera adds even more possibilities to your creative arsenal.

A system designed for the future, built today

The EOS R10 is a member of the EOS R system – a collection of cameras, lenses, and accessories designed from the ground up to deliver superior stills and video, now and in the future. A faster, wider (54 mm) lens mount enables new levels of performance, meaning you can express your creativity in new ways.

Integrate and expand

However, you can continue to use the EF and EF-S lenses you already own, thanks to three lens mount adapters. These can also add additional functionality, such as customizable controls or a variable ND filter.

The APS-C advantage

Because the EOS R10 is built around an APS-C size sensor, lenses offer 1.6x greater telephoto reach compared to equivalent focal lengths on a full-frame camera. Get closer to your subject for emotionally rich images of wildlife and action that fill the frame.

Learn and grow as you shoot

For those taking their first steps with EOS or beginner photographers, the guided user interface helps them develop their skills and teaches them how the camera works. When you're ready to go it alone, the camera's standard interface is so intuitive and user-friendly that you might even forget it's there.

More connectivity

The EOS R10 connects wirelessly to your smartphone, so you can share your creations with friends and followers. Post to social media, send videos to friends, and upload images to cloud accounts so they're ready and waiting for you when you get home.

Wireless connectivity anytime

Built-in low-energy Bluetooth maintains a constant connection, allowing seamless 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi activation when images need to be transferred. Remote control of the camera is also possible from your smart device running the Canon Camera Connect app: you can see the camera's view, change settings, and capture photos and videos. For easier remote operation, the BR-E1 wireless Bluetooth controller is also available.

The EOS R10 also features USB-C for in-camera charging and remote shooting to PC/Mac computers.

Make an impact on your followers

Vloggers and content creators can use the EOS R10 to stream video of superior quality in real time directly to their YouTube followers7. Simply connect the camera to your Wi-Fi network – no computer is needed. The vari-angle LCD screen can be rotated to give you an accurate view if you're presenting.

The EOS R10 also supports vertical video shooting – ideal for capturing content for social media stories.

Your creativity in the cloud

Our image.canon portal puts your content exactly where it needs to be. Images and movies can be uploaded seamlessly – straight from the camera to the image.canon cloud via Wi-Fi. From there, they can be moved for long-term storage to other cloud platforms or downloaded to a PC or Mac for editing.

To get the maximum image quality from the EOS R10, try processing RAW images in the canon.image cloud.11 The neural network image processing system used takes their quality to new heights.12
