Experience a new kind of autofocus

The EOS R10 can recognise people, vehicles and animals – like cats, dogs and birds – tracking them as they move anywhere in the frame8. Even fast-moving subjects are captured in sharp focus.

When photographing people, the EOS R10 prioritises your subject’s eyes first – the ‘window to the soul’. If these aren’t visible, then the face is tracked instead. And if your subject turns away for a moment, the head is next in line, followed by the body.

More speed

React instinctively, capturing fleeting moments in time with high-speed burst shooting – ideal for wildlife and sports. The EOS R10 can shoot bursts of images as RAW, JPEG or HEIF files at up to 15fps1 (or 23fps5 using the camera’s electronic shutter). All the while it tracks subjects across the frame, constantly adjusting focus and exposure in response to the changing scene.

Capture split-second moments

In RAW Burst mode, you can shoot at up to 30fps with a 75% crop, with images saved into a single movie file for neat and easy organisation. Individual images can then be extracted, processed and edited using our free Digital Photo Professional (DPP) software. When pre-shooting is enabled in the camera’s menu, the EOS R10 captures 0.5 seconds of action before the shutter button is pressed, so you’ll always catch that magic perfect moment.

The camera responds quickly to your commands, giving you a huge advantage when it comes to capturing the exact moment. A DIGIC X processor ensures responsive control and minimal viewfinder lag or blackout, so you’ll always feel connected to your subject.

4K resolution that surpasses expectations

The EOS R10 captures superb 4K video footage that looks great on UHD displays and allows for cropping without loss of quality when editing for Full HD projects. Filmmakers can choose between 4K/60p3 for silky-smooth motion and slow-motion effects, or stunning oversampled 4K/30p, created from the 24.2-megapixel sensor’s 6K output. You have to see the results to believe them.

Super smooth motion

When shooting in Full HD, frame rates of up to 120fps can be used, revealing even more subtleties in moving subjects.10 And for slow-moving scenes, the ability to create great 4K and Full HD time-lapse movies in-camera adds even more possibilities to your creative arsenal.

A system designed for the future, built today

The EOS R10 is a member of the EOS R System – a collection of cameras, lenses and accessories designed from the ground up to deliver superb stills and video, now and in the future. A faster, wider (54mm) lens mount makes new levels of performance possible, meaning you can express your creativity in new ways.

Integrate and expand

However, you can continue to use the EF and EF-S lenses you already own, thanks to three lens mount adapters. These can also add extra functionality, such as customisable controls or a variable ND filter.

The APS-C advantage

Because the EOS R10 is built around an APS-C size sensor, lenses offer 1.6x more telephoto reach than equivalent focal lengths on a full-frame camera. Get closer to your subject for emotion-packed wildlife and action shots that fill the frame.

Learn and grow as you shoot

For those taking their first steps with EOS or budding photographers, the Guided User Interface helps them develop their skills and teaches them how the camera works. When you’re ready to go it alone, the camera’s standard interface is so intuitive and user-friendly that you might even forget about it.

The EOS R10 connects wirelessly to your smartphone, so you can share your creativity with friends and followers. Post to social media, send videos to friends and upload images to cloud accounts, so they’re ready and waiting for you when you get home.

Wireless connectivity at all times

Built-in low-energy Bluetooth maintains a continuous connection, enabling seamless 2.4GHz Wi-Fi activation when images need to be transferred. Remote camera control from your smart device running the Canon Camera Connect app is also possible: you can see the camera’s view, change settings, and capture stills and video. For easier remote operation, the BR-E1 wireless Bluetooth controller is also available.

The EOS R10 also features USB-C for in-camera charging and remote shooting to PC/Mac computers.

Make an impact on your followers

Vloggers and content creators can use the EOS R10 to stream superb quality video in real time directly to their followers on YouTube7. Simply connect the camera to your Wi-Fi network – no computer required. The vari-angle LCD screen can be rotated to give you an accurate view if you are presenting.

The EOS R10 also supports vertical video capture – perfect for shooting content for social media stories.

Your creativity in the cloud

Our image.canon portal puts your content exactly where it needs to be. Images and movies can be uploaded seamlessly – straight from the camera to the image.canon cloud via Wi-Fi. From there, they can be moved for long-term storage to other cloud platforms or downloaded to a PC or Mac for editing.

To get the maximum image quality from the EOS R10, try processing RAW images in the canon.image cloud.11 The neural network image processing system used takes their quality to new heights.12
