Description
DJI Mavic 3M
See More, Work Smarter
Efficient aerial surveying allows you to see the unseen. That's why the Mavic 3 Multispectral has two forms of vision. It combines an RGB camera with a multispectral camera to scan and analyze crop growth with complete clarity. Agricultural management requires precision and data, and the Mavic 3M delivers both.
Compact and Portable
Foldable for easy storage
Multispectral Camera
4 × 5MP: G/R/RE/NIR
RGB camera: 20 MP
4/3 CMOS, mechanical shutter
Safe and Stable
Omnidirectional obstacle avoidance[1]
15km transmission distance[2]
Precise Positioning
Centimeter-level RTK positioning
Microsecond-level time synchronization
Efficient Aerial Surveying
Up to 200 hectares per flight[3]
Highly Integrated Imaging System
A newly upgraded imaging system with one 20MP RGB camera and four 5MP multispectral cameras (green, red, red edge, and near-infrared). It enables applications such as high-precision aerial surveying, crop growth monitoring, and natural resource surveys.
5 MP multispectral camera
RGB camera features
4/3 CMOS - 20MP imaging sensor
1/2000s - Fastest mechanical shutter speed
0.7s - High-speed burst, when using the RGB camera
Sunlight Sensor
The integrated sunlight sensor captures solar radiation and records it in an image file, which enables light compensation of image data during 2D reconstruction. This results in more accurate NDVI results, as well as improved accuracy and consistency of data obtained over time.
Precise Images That Capture Every Pixel
The Mavic 3M drone with an RTK module for centimeter-level positioning. Flight control, the camera, and the RTK module synchronize to microseconds to accurately capture the exact location of the imaging center of each camera. This allows the Mavic 3M to perform high-precision aerial surveys without the use of ground control points.
Efficient and Reliable Battery Life
Ultra-long battery life - 43 minutes[4]
One flight can complete mapping of an area of 200 hectares.[3]
Fast Charging
100W battery charging hub
High-efficiency fast charging
88W fast charging
Drone
Stable signal, smooth image transmission
O3 transmission integrates two transmitting signals and four receiving signals to support 15km ultra-long transmission distances.
Omnidirectional obstacle recognition[1], aerial terrain following
The drone features multiple wide-range vision sensors that accurately detect obstacles in all directions for obstacle avoidance. Aerial terrain surveying can be easily performed in landscapes with steep slopes.
Applications
Orchard Mapping
Mavic 3M allows for aerial terrain following in orchards, even on slopes. Together with DJI Terra or DJI SmartFarm Platform[6] for reconstructing high-resolution orchard maps, automatically identifying the number of trees, distinguishing trees from other obstacles or objects, and generating 3D work routes for agricultural drones, making operations safer and more efficient.

Agricultural drone operation
Variable rate application guidance
For fertilizing rice, regulating cotton growth, and spraying foliar fertilizers for potatoes, the Mavic 3M drone is used to obtain multispectral images of crops. DJI Terra or the DJI SmartFarm platform[6] can then generate NDVI and other plant index maps, capturing differences in crop potential and generating prescribed maps that allow agricultural drones to perform variable-rate application. This ultimately allows users to reduce costs, increase yields, and protect the environment.

Intelligent Field Scouting
Mavic 3M can perform automatic field scouting. Field scout images can be uploaded to the DJI SmartFarm platform[6] in real-time via a 4G network. It can timely detect anomalies such as germination deficiencies, weed pressure, and crop lodging. It can also perform intelligent analyses, such as cotton seedling identification and rice production testing, using AI identification for real-time sharing of crop growth information, agronomic guidance, and easy management of 70 hectares of farmland by one person.
Environmental Monitoring and Natural Resource Surveys
The Mavic 3M drone can also be used in environmental and natural resource surveys, such as water enrichment monitoring, forest distribution surveys, urban green area surveys, and more.

Open Ecosystem
Cloud API
Mavic 3M can be directly connected to a third-party cloud platform via Pilot 2's built-in DJI Cloud API, based on the MQTT protocol. There is no need to develop a separate application to enable the transmission of UAV equipment information, live streaming, photo data, and other information.
MSDK
Mavic 3M supports Mobile SDK 5 (MSDK5) with an excerpt of production code with fully open source. MSDK5 makes it possible to develop a custom management application for UAV field patrols, intelligent surveying, and other scenarios, making it more convenient for the user.
Notes:
1.DO NOT fly in severe weather conditions, such as strong winds (wind speed of 12 m/s or more), snow, rain, or lightning. DO NOT fly in areas that are 6000 meters or higher above sea level. DO NOT fly the drone in environments where the temperature is below -10°C (14°F) or above 40°F (104°F). DO NOT take off from moving objects, such as cars and ships. DO NOT fly near reflective surfaces, such as water or snow. Otherwise, the visual positioning system may not work properly. When the GNSS signal is weak, fly the drone in an environment with good lighting and visibility. The visual system may not work properly in low-light conditions. Be aware of flight safety when flying near sources of electromagnetic interference. Common sources of electromagnetic interference include high-voltage power lines, high-voltage transmission stations, radar stations, cellular base stations, broadcast towers, Wi-Fi hotspots, routers, and Bluetooth devices.
2.The 15 km transmission distance can only be achieved according to the FCC standard when measured in an open area without interference. The SRRC standard is adopted in mainland China, and the farthest transmission distance is 8 km. The above data are the farthest communication distances for one-way flights without return per standard. Please pay attention to the return prompts in the DJI Pilot 2 app during flight.
3.Specific test conditions: In a sunny, windless environment, orthographic flight aerial photography is obtained with a flight speed of 15 m/s, a flight altitude of 217 m, a ground sampling distance (GSD) of 5.73 cm for visible and 10 cm for multispectral, a front and back overlap percentage of 70%, and a side overlap percentage of 60%.
4.Data was measured using the DJI Mavic 3M flying at a constant speed of 36 km/h at sea level in a windless environment until 0% power remained. This is for reference only. Please pay attention to the return home prompts in the DJI Pilot 2 app during flight.
5.Optional accessories. This service is not available in some countries. Please consult your local distributor for details. Do not install the DJI Cellular module when using a multispectral camera to capture data to avoid blocking the intensity sensor.
6.DJI Smart Agricultural Platform will be supported in Q2 2023. This service is not available in some countries. Please consult your local distributor for details.
