Sekonic Litemaster Pro L-478DR Light Meter
The Sekonic Litemaster Pro L-478DR Light Meter is a device that can measure both continuous (ambient) light and light created by pulsed sources (in short, flashes). It is the world's first light meter with a full-color display and a touchscreen option.
"When you are in pulsed light measurement mode, you will notice a percentage value appearing in the upper right part of the display (below the ISO values). If the value is 100%, the measured light is solely from the pulsed lighting. If the value is less than 100%, let's say 80%, then the existing continuous ambient lighting partially interferes with the photographed subject. The more the percentage value decreases, the more the continuous lighting plays a role in illuminating the photographed subject. This option is used by photographers who, for example, photograph models on the beach, relying on sunlight and supplementing their lighting scheme with flashes (be it monolights, battery-powered generators, or small stroboscopic flashes).
