STORM XT52, the brightest COB light in the industry, with unprecedented power!
London, England – February 14, 2025 – Aputure, creators of LED lighting for filmmakers, today introduced the STORM XT52, the new flagship in its line of point-source LED lights.
The STORM XT52 is the industry's brightest COB light, with unprecedented power rivaling some 9000W HMIs. It features Aputure's new BLAIR light engine, offering an unparalleled adjustable white light color spectrum, with a wide CCT range, +/- green adjustment, and adjustable x,y color coordinates. Aputure's advanced cooling and structural design achieves this performance while allowing one person to lift the fixture, and the control box is briefcase-sized.
“We set ourselves a massive challenge,” explained Ted Sim, President and Co-founder of Aputure. “To make the brightest LED light in the industry with the best spectrum and adjustability, while being small and light enough for one person to set up and operate on a crank stand. Last year, we launched the STORM series with the incredible BLAIR light engine. Customers worldwide asked us to implement our BLAIR into higher power fixtures. So we did. Our engineers achieved this by placing this technology into such a powerful fixture and designing new cooling and control systems to keep the size and weight small. We are presenting the STORM XT52 at BSC Expo and will officially launch it at NAB. You’ll want to get a front-row seat.”
