SAMYANG introduces autofocus lens for CANON EF - AF 14mm F2.8 EF
08.01.2017, 2018, Seoul, South Korea – Samyang Optics (http://www.samyanglensglobal.com) is pleased to introduce its first autofocus lens for Canon full-frame DSLR cameras, the AF 14mm F2.8 EF. This lightweight lens combines Samyang's high-quality optics with quiet, fast, and accurate autofocus.
World-class Wide-Angle Lens Samyang 14mm
This is Samyang's first AF lens for the EF mount, incorporating all of Samyang's knowledge and experience in wide-angle lenses. It features 15 elements in 10 groups, with 7 of the optical elements specially selected and designed for this lens (2 aspherical lenses, 4 high refractive, and 1 extra-low dispersion lens). All of this reduces distortion and various aberrations without affecting image quality. The exceptional image quality from the center to the edges (at 116.6 degrees) is clearly visible when reviewing the MTF chart.

Ideal autofocus lens for wide use
The lens shows a clear effort to reduce weight, making it extremely suitable for travel and even for use as a primary lens. With a weight of only 485g (without cap and hood), it is among the lightest lenses with similar focal length and aperture. Last but not least, the lens is protected from moisture, dust, etc. by sealing critical areas.
To celebrate the launch, Samyang Optics will hold various consumer events on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/samyanglensglobal) and Instagram (http://www.instagram.com/samyanglensglobal).
