2. "LUMIX Tether for Streaming (Beta)" for Mac
After releasing the "LUMIX Tether for Streaming (Beta)" software for Windows, Panasonic is now also releasing a Mac version of "LUMIX Tether for Streaming (Beta)". This software is derived from the conventional "LUMIX Tether (Ver.1.7)" software and features additional visual capabilities for use in live streaming. This provides more convenience for the growing number of users producing their own live streams.
As "LUMIX Tether" is software originally designed for tethered shooting, GUI elements such as the focus area, control panel, etc., are displayed on the computer monitor along with the live image from the camera during a USB tethering connection. However, these graphical elements are an obstacle when the software is used for live streaming. In response to customer requests to resolve this issue, a LIVE VIEW mode has been added to the "LUMIX Tether for Streaming (Beta)" software. This mode allows only the camera image to be displayed, making it easier for streaming software to use. Users can choose whether to display or hide the graphical elements during a USB tethering connection, depending on the intended use.
"LUMIX Tether for Streaming (Beta)" is provided as a beta version, which is still under development. Please note that no warranty or customer support is provided for this software.

3. "LUMIX Webcam Software"
While "LUMIX Tether for Streaming (Beta)" is primarily tethered shooting software that can also be used to display a camera image for live streaming, the upcoming "LUMIX Webcam Software" will allow the LUMIX camera to be used as a webcam with a USB connection not only for live streaming but also for video conferencing and the like. Compatible models: DC-S1H, DC-S1R, DC-S1, DC-GH5S, DC-GH5, DC-G9, DC-G100/G110*
Release date*: end of September (for Windows) / end of October (for Mac), 2020
*The release date of "LUMIX Webcam Software" for DC-G100/G110 has not yet been determined.
