A video podcast launched from Dynaphos' small studio

The founder of Dynaphos, Hristo Kabadayev, took on the role of guest in his own company's small studio. The reason was his participation in the video podcast KIK, which is filmed there. In the 30-minute interview with journalist and writer Ekaterina Kostova, we can see videos and photos from Kabadayev's training sessions and participation in various marathons, ultramarathons, and the prestigious Iron Man triathlon.

When asked how he would prefer Dynaphos to develop – like a sprinter or a long-distance runner – he answers without hesitation: "Like an ultramarathon, not even a marathon." Before that, he talks about what the company's name means and how he decided to turn his photography hobby into a business.

"I think it's typical for anyone who starts purely photographically, that you get to know the camera, its capabilities, everything around you starts to become interesting. You start to change the way you look at the world. You look through a viewfinder. At some point – you go out and constantly see shots. Every excursion, walk, you adjust to the right time, to the right hour. Consequently, every 200 or 100 meters you stop to photograph something. That was the beginning of photography for me – a heavy bag with several lenses and accessories that I carried everywhere with me."

In the podcast, it also becomes clear that since then, for 2 decades, the company's employees have managed to maintain growth every year, following Hristo Kabadayev's vision for sustainability.

"My way is: Rather evolutionary and with small steps, but in one direction. For me, the keyword is consistency. Both in sports and in business, I don't have a single day where I don't work or do something in the direction we're going. That is, looked at short-term, not much happens, but long-term, a significant path has been covered."

Hristo Kabadayev also answers why he supports various projects by his colleagues and audiovisual artists external to the company, as well as the studios equipped with Dynaphos equipment at NBU and Emilian Stanev School in Sofia.

"I don't think Dynaphos's role, much less mine, is too significant in these listed things, but the goal of Dynaphos, and of such a – I would say – company or activity, must be useful to society and the guild in particular. If it turns out that this company and this activity do not contribute anything, it becomes superfluous. It may work for some time, but overall there is no point. The goal is to make a contribution."

The video podcast for culture, art, and causes, KIK, is published on Ekaterina Kostova's blog F2F TV. It began filming in one of Dynaphos's studios in mid-March with the company's support. The cameraman is the brand manager for video and audio equipment, Yulian Georgiev, and the cameras behind which the two episodes so far have been shot are Nikon and Blackmagic design.
