LAOWA Zoom Lenses - now at Dynaphos
Two sets of variable zoom lenses from LAOWA have arrived at Dynaphos to bring excellent image rendering and quality mechanics closer to every creator seeking an efficient and affordable solution for their next film or video projects. The spherical Ranger Zoom and the new anamorphic Nanomorph Zoom, though quite different in terms of image and characteristics, serve as versatile tools.
Ranger Zoom
Ranger Zoom lenses are among the most flexible lenses one can find today - they come in a multitude of variants in terms of mount and coverage for different sensors, as well as size and weight.

The set we chose consists of two lenses - 28-75 and 75-180, both with a maximum aperture of T2.9, and also covering large format sensors. To be as flexible as possible with various camera systems, we chose the industry-standard ARRI PL mount, but Ranger lenses also come with an EF mount option, and can also be adapted to modern mirrorless mounts, including Sony E, Canon RF, Leica L, and Nikon Z.
If you want more information about Laowa Ranger zoom lenses, you can visit our website's product page, where you can also find adapters for various mirrorless mounts.
Nanomorph Zoom
Anamorphic zoom lenses and affordability are not two things one would expect to see in the same sentence, but their combination is now a reality with LAOWA's Nanomorph Zoom - the next leap from the Nanomorph Prime series. Nanomorph Zoom lenses are designed for Super35 sensors and have been popular since their announcement as the new king for affordable anamorphic cinema and video for aspiring creators or those on a smaller budget, but with a desire to maintain professional image standards.

The set consists of two lenses - 28-55 and 50-100, both with a fast maximum aperture of T2.9 and weighing only 1.5 kg. This makes them excellent for run and gun work, as well as for use with gimbals, drones, etc. The lenses offer a constant 1.5x squeeze factor, providing enough flexibility for wide angles, as well as for portraits, and also compatibility with the 16:9 format standard for social media and television, with a final aspect ratio of 2.66:1.
The bokeh is oval and natural, and the close focus is excellent! One of the most impressive things is that in addition to being fast and compact anamorphic zooms with a constant factor, Nanomorph Zoom lenses are also parfocal. LAOWA relies on this and offers several flare options - amber, classic blue, and neutral silver, which change according to the color and intensity of the light source.
If you want to learn more, you can see the full specifications of the lenses on their product page on our website.
But Dynaphos is also preparing a live meeting with these impressive lenses. It will give you the opportunity to see them, test them, and convince yourself of their capabilities in person at our showroom on August 16, Friday. On our Facebook page you can find details about the event, which has an open-door policy, so do not hesitate to visit us!
