Ivaylo Donchev stands with his Nikon at the starting line with the grown-up child prodigy Lilyana Georgieva
The grown-up child prodigy of Bulgarian athletics, Lilyana Georgieva, will be at the starting line this Tuesday, November 28, for her first professional photoshoot with the support of Dynaphos. Behind the lens will be the first licensed Red Bull photographer in Bulgaria, Ivaylo Donchev, with his Nikon. He will demonstrate how to capture the athlete's emotion before hearing the starting signal and after the finish, as well as how to track them on the track.
Attendees of the event will be able to test what they've learned, thanks to Nikon, who will provide 7 different camera models and over 10 Nikkor lenses for this purpose. See some of them on the side of this article under "Related products."
Ivaylo Donchev will gratuitously provide photos of Lili for her first professional calendar for next year, for which we thank him, and Dynaphos will wish her to improve her personal bests and set new records.
Lili's story became public when, in 2015, our blog author Ekaterina Kostova wrote in her blog and for Nova TV about the talented student of the Sports School in Plovdiv. Having set her first record in a 3 km race at the age of 14, she needed running shoes because the children's home where she grew up couldn't keep up with how quickly she wore them out during training. The media then called Lili the "child prodigy," and today, at 23, she is part of the "Active 2013" Sports Club and has already recorded 15 records in her sports biography. This year, Lilyana Georgieva became the Bulgarian champion in the 800m (indoor and outdoor) and 1500m indoor races.
We thank "Academica 2011" and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, with whose assistance the event will be held in Asics Arena in Sofia. Look forward to Ivaylo Donchev's shots, and you can read more about him and his work in his portrait in the Photographers section of our blog and on his professional website.
