Antarctica film, shot with Dynaphos equipment, premieres at Kinomania
"Beyond the Limit" is the name of Elenko Kasaliyski's film about Antarctica, for which a Dynaphos technician went to Antarctica with the Bulgarian polar explorers of the 31st expedition. The premiere of the film is on November 18th at "Kinomania".
This is the first feature-length documentary about our Antarctic base on Livingston Island, a film about the life and professional journey of Prof. Hristo Pimpirev, and a document of the maiden voyage in the world's oceans of the Bulgarian military research vessel "St. St. Cyril and Methodius".
Dynaphos unreservedly supported the film, providing Elenko Kasaliyski with an additional GoPro HERO9 Black Action Camera and three SmallRig VB99 mini V Mount batteries for his work on location, alongside his Sony camera. These ensured the filming of several terabytes of video at minus 20 degrees Celsius, strong wind, and humidity.
"I took wonderful shots with the GoPro 9. The batteries ran out very quickly, but again, with my colleagues from Dynaphos, we came up with a solution to supply external V-LOCK power to the camera. It performed flawlessly! And the batteries saved the day, allowing me to film without worrying about the cold, the humidity, the wind, and the fact that something might happen to be filmed in half an hour, and I wouldn't be able to capture it," said Elenko Kasaliyski, who combined the roles of author, cinematographer, director, and post-production in the film, upon his return from Antarctica.
What else he shared for the Dynaphos blog, even before the film was completed, you can read in our article here. The completed "Beyond the Limit" is one hour and twenty-nine minutes long, with 4K resolution and Dolby 5.1 sound, and awaits its viewers after the screenings at "Kinomania" in Sofia and at the "Bansko Film Fest".
And if you plan to buy an action camera for your project, now is the time! See the advantageous offers on the side of the article and hurry, because some are on promotion expiring by the end of November 17.
