Compact and efficient – XA 4K camcorder with UHD resolution and high zoom

The XA45 incorporates a 1/2.3-inch type CMOS sensor along with a DIGIC DV6 image processor. With oversampling HD processing, this results in improved Full HD image quality. The XA45 includes a 20x optical zoom lens with a wide angle of 29.3 mm.

Extremely compact, professional 4K UHD camcorder

The combination of a 1/2.3-inch type 4K CMOS sensor and DIGIC DV6 image processor delivers high-quality 4K UHD images and superb Full HD images thanks to oversampling HD processing. Recording options include XF-AVC 160 Mbps/MP4 150 Mbps at UHD 25P, XF-AVC 45 Mbps at FHD 25P/50i/50P, and MP4 17-35 Mbps at FHD 25P/50P.

Infrared recording capability

The XA45/XA40 includes an infrared mode that allows video recording in low or no ambient light. There is an option to record in white or green mode.

Slow and fast motion recording

Work the way your project demands with continuous recording available in slow and fast motion recording modes in UHD and Full HD and at a maximum speed of 1200x.

Lightweight and compact with professional features

The XA45/XA40 weighs less than 1.2 kg with a 3.0-inch LCD touchscreen that provides intuitive control. The high-quality camcorder also supports 4-channel linear PCM with a built-in stereo microphone and two XLR ports. Other features include 3G-SDI (XA45 only). Additionally, two SD card slots are provided for simultaneous recording or relay recording.
