Canon Announces RF 5.2mm F2.8L DUAL FISHEYE

Canon LENS RF 5.2mm F2.8L DUAL FISHEYE
A virtual reality lens that simplifies the capture and post-production of professional 180° VR content.
Capture views that are more than virtual
Capture the world in virtual reality thanks to the RF 5.2mm F2.8L DUAL FISHEYE, a compact, stereoscopic L-series RF lens, capable of capturing exceptionally sharp content that – with the rest of Canon's EOS VR SYSTEM, including camera and software solution – turns footage into a truly breathtaking visual experience, immersing you in the environment.
Amazingly practical (3D) 180° VR capture
The compact single-mount design simplifies quick camera setups for professional stereoscopic 180° VR capture when using compatible high-resolution, full-frame cameras with RF mounts, such as the EOS R51.

Efficient and simplified workflow
With a stereoscopic 190° field of view, two offset circular fisheye images are perfectly synchronized and recorded side-by-side onto a single full-frame sensor, ready for Canon's powerful EOS VR Utility2 plugin2 for seamless processing during final editing, requiring no additional finishing operations.
High-quality image capture
Featuring perfectly aligned, forward-facing fisheye lenses, the RF 5.2mm F2.8L DUAL FISHEYE uses two UD lens elements to correct distortions, as well as Canon's special SWC coatings to reduce flare and ghosting even in backlit conditions.
Fast f/2.8 aperture for low-light shooting
The RF 5.2mm F2.8L DUAL FISHEYE performs excellently in low light thanks to its fast f/2.8 aperture with precisely synchronized exposure and precise control via a dual electromagnetic diaphragm (EMD) design.
L-series construction and weather resistance
As an L-series lens, the RF 5.2mm F2.8L DUAL FISHEYE is built for professional use. It is dust and splash resistant and features a fluorine coating that repels water and dirt from the lens surface.
Gel filter holder for precise exposure control
The RF 5.2mm F2.8L DUAL FISHEYE features a rear-mounted gel filter holder for pre-cut ND filters, which can be used to help precisely control light levels when used in 180° VR video productions.
