The FC PowerController is a complete power and control solution that greatly expands the capabilities of the new FC-500C, plus the FC-300B and FC-500B.
It can power compatible FC-series fixtures from V-Lock batteries and offers wired control of lighting settings. This versatile combination is ideal for shooting on the go, ensuring the FC-300B/500B/500C can operate seamlessly outdoors or in other environments without access to AC power.
Importantly, the FC PowerController can also act as a portable V-mount charger for two batteries. It can charge one or two 14.4-14.8 V or 26 V batteries simultaneously by connecting to AC using the power adapter supplied with each FC-300B/500B/500C.
By integrating all these functions into one convenient device, FC PowerController meets the needs of a wide range of photo and video production.
Operation using V-Lock batteries
Connecting the FC PowerController allows the FC-300B/500B/500C to be powered by one or two 14.4-14.8V/26V batteries, providing freedom of movement without the limitations of mains power. The maximum output of each different device varies depending on the quantity and voltage of the V-Lock batteries used. For example, it requires two 26V high performance V-lock batteries to run the FC-500C at full power. Using a single 14.4V battery on the same lamp will limit the output to 30%.
The FC PowerController can also control an AC device by connecting to the same power adapter that is included in the FC 300B/500B/500C kits. This allows connected fixtures to easily switch to battery power if the AC power is down. This is also convenient when bodies need to be moved quickly around the studio or shooting location.
Intuitive control
The FC PowerController provides wired control for the FC 300B/500B/500C at a distance of up to 3m. Simply connect to the luminaire via the included connection cable and take control of the light quickly and easily. It has a clear two-inch display to show status, with two knobs and two buttons to adjust settings. This makes it easier for users to control the device even when mounted high.
Practical design
FC PowerController measures 130.6×135.5×204.5 mm and weighs only 1.61 kg. It can be easily carried or hung using the elegant built-in rope. In addition, the unit is equipped with a quick-release plate, which allows it to be mounted on a light stand or support using an optional quick-release light clamp.
Effective heat dissipation
The body of the FC PowerController is solidly constructed with an aluminum alloy body. It has three aluminum alloy radiators and a built-in fan. The fan runs quietly and at the same time provides heat dissipation, providing the best possible conditions for audio recording on the set.
