Over 20 people tried out freezing motion with Georgi Todorov and Profoto in our studio
Over 20 people tried to "capture" movement in Dynaphos's studio during the four-hour event "Freeze the Moment with Georgi Todorov and Profoto." On the last Thursday of September, they filled the space to draw on the experience of the photographer, who believes that for a good result, light takes precedence over photographic equipment.
Two sets helped attendees practically understand how much they could apply the explanations from the theoretical part of the event themselves. In the first set, Georgi demonstrated how to freeze the movement of a model with the monoblocs D2 500 and D2 1000.
He explained and then demonstrated the differences when Umbrella deep white L; Umbrella deep white M, Magnum reflector and Ocf magnum reflector were added to the flashes.
Here are some conclusions about the monoblocs: they recharge very quickly, have pulse repeatability, and the short pulse can freeze very fast movement.
In the second set, photographers froze the movement of bubbles formed when a lemon dropped into water, using the B10x plus flash and the Ocf softbox 1x3 modifier.

The event had free admission, and everyone who came with their personal camera equipment and memory card could try working with the presented flash models and modifiers. We offer you a video from the event here. And here are two of the moments with the beautiful model from the first set - in black and white and in color - which Georgi Todorov froze during the event. The following 4 photographs are his:

You can read about Georgi Todorov's journey as a photographer in his profile in our thematic section in the blog. See more of his works on his Meta and Instagram profiles.
The photos for this article and in the gallery (with the exception of those from the second set) are by its author Ekaterina Kostova.
