Photographers, armed with Canon's mirrorless range, painted with colored light at Dynaphos' studio for 5 hours on June 6th. The cameras and lenses we had prepared were immediately snapped up, and the Canon EOS R8, with which Dilyana Gergova had arranged a "meeting" for the curious, hardly stayed in her hands.

"The new model is compact, travel-friendly, more budget-friendly, and an excellent option for a first full-frame camera," she commented.

Both sets she had prepared for demonstration during the event, in collaboration with a model, became a platform for experiments not only with full-frame cameras but also with colored lighting.

"The first set used one Nanlite Forza 500 lamp with a white Beauty Dish, and 4 Pavo Tube 30C tubes. We also lit the background with mixed panels, also Nanlite – colored ones. The model's face was lit with white light. For the next set, we turned off the Forza and the Beauty Dish and replaced them with an optical spot Nanlite FS-200 and Gobo masks," Dilyana explained.

Most of the photographers who came to the event discovered it was their first time shooting with colored light. Approaching timidly at first, they gradually relaxed, eventually becoming bolder and starting to paint true pictures with light.

"The difference with the spot and Gobo masks is that they paint specific shapes – one, for example, is in the shape of branches. These appear as reflections on the model's face."

Thus, an ordinary photograph with colored lighting can be transformed into a true work of art, as the participants in our event experienced. And anyone who wished to take home their best "painting" had the opportunity to print it on Canon printers.
