Travel photographer Minko Mihaylov has gathered his latest trip to Japan into an exhibition
Travel photographer Minko Mihaylov leads the audience on his next remarkable journey, this time to the Land of the Rising Sun. His photo exhibition "Japan – Where Past Meets Future" is located at the "Boris Hristov" House of Culture in Plovdiv and opens today, April 8th.
"In 2024, I had the opportunity to travel across Japan – a country that has always attracted me with its unique blend of tradition and modernity. I visited iconic places like Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, where I captured the spirit of ancient temples, vibrant streets, futuristic architecture, and the tranquility of nature. The Japanese are exceptional – they honor their traditions, yet at the same time live in one of the most modern societies in the world," says Minko.
This exhibition is his way of transporting us to the world of Japan and showing us the small details that make this country so magnetic - from the small streets of Kyoto to the lights of Shibuya and its people, who seem to exude respect, discipline, and harmony.
At the opening, Minko Mihaylov will also tell some of the stories behind the shots and share his emotions while wandering through Japan.
We remind you that Minko Mihaylov has visited us with his vivid photographic style and with an exhibition, and with a story about his travels, which we have preserved in a video. He has also been a guest in the Photographers section of our blog.
