Sony Wins in Eight Categories at EISA Awards 2022, Including Full-Frame Camera for Sony Alpha 7 IV and Multimedia Smartphone for Xperia 1 IV
Sony is extremely proud to announce that the quality and innovation it offers have been recognized for another year at the prestigious EISA (Expert Imaging and Sound Association) Awards. Sony won a total of eight awards in four separate business categories, including Full-Frame Camera for the Alpha 7 IV, Multimedia Smartphone for the Xperia 1 IV, and Wireless Headphones for the WH-1000XM5.

EISA FULL-FRAME CAMERA 2022-2023: Sony Alpha 7 IV
This full-frame mirrorless camera introduces significant improvements over its predecessor, the Alpha 7 III, in almost every aspect. The new 33-megapixel back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS sensor and the latest BIONZ XR processor ensure astonishing image quality, while the rotating touchscreen makes operation easier, especially when shooting video and vlogs. EISA LENS OF THE YEAR 2022-2023: Sony FE 24-70mm F2.8 GM II
This fast standard zoom lens for full-frame cameras is designed specifically for photographers and videographers. It offers very high image quality with beautiful bokeh and four fast XD Linear Motors, which reliably control autofocus. The second generation of the G Master series, this standard zoom lens impresses with its smaller size and weight, while offering additional functionality compared to its predecessor. In addition to an aperture control ring that can be set for smooth control, the lens also has a zoom smoothness adjustment button, allowing photographers to choose between two zoom resistance settings to suit specific shooting situations. Two customizable focus hold buttons provide convenient control.
EISA WIDE-ANGLE ZOOM LENS FOR PHOTOS/VIDEO 2022-2023: Sony FE PZ 16-35mm F4 G
Sony's newest wide-angle power zoom lens uses a motorized zoom mechanism, driven by XD Linear Motors for extremely smooth and precise control. This is a very appealing option for videographers who want to achieve smooth and precise zooming during recording. They would also greatly appreciate the fact that there is almost no change in the angle of view when focusing, and no focus breathing during zooming. This lens, however, is not just for video capture. With its compact, lightweight, weather-resistant design and high-quality optics, it's an excellent choice for landscape photographers who prefer to travel light. EISA TELEPHOTO ZOOM LENS 2022-2023: Sony FE 70-200mm F2.8 GM OSS II
This fast telephoto zoom lens is a complete redesign of Sony's first FE 70-200mm F2.8 G Master lens. The new optical design ensures sharp images at every point of the frame regardless of zoom. The autofocus system is built around two pairs of XD Linear Motors, which drive two focusing groups for faster focusing and better tracking. Those who primarily shoot video will appreciate the presence of an aperture control ring that can be operated in two different modes, with or without clicks, as well as reduced focus breathing and shifts. Despite all the improvements listed above, the lens is almost one-third lighter than the original model.
