Nikon Launches The human prompt: The creative athlete & z6iii
An exciting series with content shot with the new Z6III
Amsterdam, Netherlands, June 17, 2024: Today, Nikon launched The Human Prompt: The Creative Athlete & The Z6III – a collection of images and videos captured by four inspiring content creators, each using the new Z6III as their creative tool.
While summer 2024 looks packed with major sporting events across Europe, this unique campaign focuses on a different type of athlete, encouraging creators to discover and showcase their own interpretation of athleticism in everyday life, from wildlife to street photography and even within themselves.
The creators, all from very different walks of life but with a shared passion for capturing images and video, were tasked with testing the new Z6III, using the camera's core features to tell a story about their experience using it. From pre-capture functionality and 120 fps frame rate to the Z6III's high-resolution and high-brightness electronic viewfinder, the creators pushed the camera's capabilities to the limit.
This task is the second in Nikon's "Human Prompt" series, where instead of using artificial intelligence to stimulate creative thinking, Nikon issues its own prompts to image creators and documents their creative approaches to them.
To fulfill their mission, the four creators embarked on a journey to the creative atmosphere of Cape Town, South Africa, exhibiting the perseverance and relentless effort invariably associated with athleticism to achieve "that perfect shot." In an unexpected twist, the creators were also given an additional task: to pair up and photograph each other using the Z6III – bringing to life the moments that are rarely captured in front of and behind the lens.
Rachel Bigsby uses the Z6III to capture the vibrant essence of Cape Town's wildlife as part of The Human Prompt: Creative Athlete challenge.
As part of this creative combination, wildlife photographer Rachel Bigsby partnered with action photographer Little Shao, while landscape photographer Jan-Vincent Kleine paired with commercial sports photographer Dani KM. Through this unique initiative, each creator was able to showcase their partner while depicting their personal perspective on the theme of The Creative Athlete.

Stefan Maier, Senior General Marketing Manager at Nikon Europe BV., commented: "We are delighted to finally share The Creative Athlete and showcase the incredible work of these four exceptional creators. Their skillful work represents a culmination of innovation and creativity, using the Z6III to truly elevate the story's message and capture stunning, high-speed shots that do not go unnoticed by the naked eye. At the beginning of a summer filled with sporting events, our goal was to inspire the world to pay attention to the different nuances of athleticism – inviting people to look through the creators' lens and appreciate the beauty of these dynamic moments captured in time."
Jan-Vincent Kleine uses the Z6III as a compact video device to capture the magic of climbing as part of his challenge in The Human Prompt: Creative Athlete.
The Human Prompt: The Creative Athlete & The Z6III launches alongside the introduction of the new Z6III camera. The Z6III is a versatile and creative device that offers exceptionally detailed stills and built-in 6K/60P (RAW) video recording capability. Built in the spirit of the Z8 and Z9, the compact and rugged Z6III introduces a new level of performance to full-frame mid-range cameras and is an exciting upgrade for photographers and videographers who want to hone their skills while keeping their gear ultra-compact – to "keep inspiring."
Look out for the premiere video for The Human Prompt: Creative Athlete & Z6III, which will be presented at 3:00 PM on June 17 on Nikon's YouTube channel. Also, stay tuned for new episodes from each creator every week.
