Now NANLUX is set to take over the entire world of filmmaking with the release of the Evoke 1200B, the next evolution of bi-color LED lighting. Continuing the legacy begun by the Evoke 1200 a year ago, NANLUX takes a big leap forward in creating versatile equipment aimed at professional film production.

Incorporating the product philosophy refined over the past 30 years, the Evoke 1200B is the new weapon for cinematographers and gaffers in film and television productions. It is expected to change the game with an unexpected user experience for large film crews who demand precise lighting with finesse.

The Evoke 1200B offers impeccable light quality in the same category by adapting two 1200W bi-color LED chips in a Dot Matrix format. It features higher luminous efficacy with an illuminance level at 5600K up to 61,030 lux@3m 5600K (with RF-NLM-26 reflector), comparable to that of a 1.8kW PAR or 2.5kW HMI Fresnel.

Sufficiently good illumination is also guaranteed for ultra-high-speed shooting, without worrying about flicker when increasing the frame rate.

Much greater flexibility in shooting by simulating natural light at sunrise, day or sunset through the Evoke 1200B's wide CCT range of 2700K to 6500K. Advanced bi-color light mixing technologies ensure continuity and accuracy with every change in color temperature, eliminating the need for CTO/CTB gels. In addition, the built-in constant lumen output functionality maintains the CCT setting throughout the entire range without any change in intensity.

Developed with professionals in mind who care more about color quality in filming, the Evoke 1200B offers excellent color rendition capability, highlighted by CRI, TLCI, and TM-30 scores. This will earn it an unparalleled place in the professional film market, as the revelation of realistic colors in films, combined with other equipment, will be the new norm in the industry.

Both the lighting fixture and the power supply of the Evoke 1200B are built in a hermetically sealed structure with an IP54 rating, capable of withstanding adverse weather or extreme conditions, meaning the lighting can be used anywhere, be it a rainforest, a snowy mountain or even in a sandstorm.

The simplified and intuitive menu interface is displayed on a 2.8-inch screen, making the Evoke 1200B easy to control in all aspects and familiar to existing Nanlux and Nanlite devices.

Dimming is fine-tuned from 0-100% in 0.1% increments with great smoothness, and sudden jumps in the low output section between 0-1% are eliminated. Five dimming curves, accessible via DMX control, to perfectly match industrial standard control requirements: LINEAR, EXPONENT, LOGARITHM, S-CURVE, GAMMA 2.2.

The Evoke 1200B allows for comprehensive wired/wireless control solutions for seamless integration into various on-set workflows. Wired and wireless DMX controls ensure secure and precise digital lighting control on set. It can be connected to a DMX console via a 5-pin cable or controlled wirelessly via the built-in LumenRadio TimoTwo module. Both reliability and flexibility are on the table to bring your creative ideas to life.

A brand new cooling management system has been customized for the Evoke 1200B to optimize heat dissipation without sacrificing the compact layout of the electrical components. This modification effectively solves the problem of reduced efficiency and shortened LED life due to high operating temperatures. The fan control system can manually switch between 4 operating modes to easily handle any shooting scenario: SMART, FULL SPEED, LOW SPEED, and OFF modes.

Thanks to the die-cast aluminum alloys used for the construction of the Evoke 1200B, the weight of the lighting fixture is 7.75 kg, only 70% of the weight of a 1.8K HMI, which gives it an advantage in terms of transport while maintaining the necessary intensity. It offers 7.5M power cables as standard and 10M and 12M connecting cables as an option, extending the power distance.

The self-locking connector allows for quick and secure connection. A quick-release super clamp and offset yoke come as standard, ensuring secure attachment of the power supply to a studio stand and truss, and facilitating quick lighting fixture changes, respectively. The yoke design expands the tilt angle of the lighting with attached modifiers, all improvements are for fast-paced on-set scenarios.
