NANLITE Introduces 18°-36° FM Mount Optical Zoom Spot with Precise Light Shaping for Professionals
The 18°-36° (PJ-FMM-18-36) FM mount optical zoom spot features entirely new optics, specially designed for NANLITE FM mount LED lights. It allows operators to precisely direct a clear and even beam exactly where they want it. The optical zoom spot offers a zoom range of 18° to 36° with excellent contour control and a significant increase in illuminance.
Exceptional Light Quality
The high-precision optical design utilizes aspherical lenses to achieve sharp contours and even illumination, with consistent performance across the entire zoom range. The aspherical optics minimize aberrations and help achieve excellent 97% beam uniformity and 96% CCT accuracy, with only 3% distortion (measured at an 18° beam angle). Advanced lens coatings improve their light transmission and contribute to color accuracy, ensuring minimal color shift. The matte black inner housing reduces internal reflections and stray light for a sharper beam.
Precise beam adjustment is achieved via a large, easily accessible zoom ring. The optical spot has its own yoke, which improves balance and stability when combined with a lighting fixture. It also allows the system to have greater downward tilt capability. Every part of the design aims to make the spot the perfect option for a wide range of professional lighting applications.
Impressive Intensity
The FM Mount 18°-36° spot effectively concentrates the beam, significantly increasing the illuminance of the body used by up to 21 times. It is fully compatible with FM Mount COB lighting fixtures.
Versatile Control
Compared to ordinary fixed-angle spots, the FM Mount 18°-36° zoom spot offers significantly greater flexibility and creative control. The adjustable beam angle allows users to fine-tune the size and focus of the light without needing to change lenses, saving effort and critical time on set. Another important feature is that the lens barrel supports 360° rotation, allowing for easy rotation of the gobo or shutter projection.
Built for Long-Lasting Use
The housing is primarily constructed from aluminum alloy with nylon components, making it suitable for long-term use on set. The yoke allows the fixture to tilt significantly downwards and be mounted on stands with a junior receiver or baby pin.
Multiple Light Shaping Possibilities
Built-in barn doors precisely shape the illuminated area, and the gel frame slot allows for easy filter placement. The kit includes a gobo holder with a proprietary size and four gobos, as well as a universal M-size gobo holder for wider compatibility. Similar to existing FM Mount spots with 10°/19°/36° lenses (PJ-FMM-10/19/36), it is compatible with the optional 18-blade iris diaphragm (PJ-FMM-AI).
Secure Storage and Transport
A premium padded carrying bag with protective padding has been added. It fits snugly around the projection attachment and provides excellent impact protection during transport.
