The European photo contest "Urban Treasures" 2024 is looking for its winners
Urban wildlife. Charming neighborhoods. Green in the heart. These are the three categories in the European Environment Agency's "Urban Treasures" 2024 photo competition.
"The aim of this year's "Urban Treasures" photo competition is to capture through photographs the progress we are making in greening and improving our neighborhoods, to depict our cities and towns not just as concrete networks, but as living, breathing ecosystems, to acknowledge the positive steps and activities undertaken for a more sustainable tomorrow – one in which cities thrive alongside nature, and neighborhoods evolve into vibrant, ecological havens," announced the Ministry of Environment and Water.
The photo competition is open to all citizens aged 18 and over from the 27 EU member states, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland, Turkey, North Macedonia, Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro, Serbia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The maximum number of photographs you can submit is 5. The condition is to send them via the online form in one or more categories before October 1st.
"Close-up shots, bird's-eye views, or eye-level shots are accepted. Before applying, be sure to familiarize yourself with the Rules and Terms of Participation."
The winning projects will be announced on November 29th, and the prizes are motivating. In each category, the winner will receive a cash prize of EUR 1,000. The best young participant and the author of the audience's favorite photo will also be awarded a prize of EUR 500. The audience's favorite photo will be determined by an online vote between October 30th and November 13th this year.
Dynaphos wishes you good luck!
