Georgi Nedelchev with an invitation to learn what happens when we shine a light in front of glass
What happens when we direct light in front of glass? If we don't know how much, where and how to control it, we are unlikely to get a photo result that we will like. Dynaphos, however, invites you to a special demonstration on Thursday, January 25, to show you how Georgi Nedelchev masterfully uses a Profoto A2 flash as a pen and elegantly draws glass still lifes with it.
He has been doing it for more than 10 years and his accumulated experience and knowledge of Profoto allow him to achieve 100% realization of his ideas. What it will be at the event with us, you will see from 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM, when it will take place. In advance, Nedelchev only reveals that there will be one still life that he will focus his lens on.

"There are several key things that are very specific – the first are strip masks for narrow and long softboxes, to get extremely thin and elegant contours of the product I'm shooting. The other is that Profoto was the first manufacturer of studio flashes that developed a system for color gels and coloring the light, which can be placed directly on the flash so that whatever softbox you put on top, you get colored light. This greatly expands the creative possibilities. And the third key thing is precisely this Profoto A2 flash and the accessories that Profoto makes for it - fresnel, honeycomb, barn doors, color gels. In combination, they work wonders."
You will have a full three and a half hours on Thursday to see them live and gain experience on how to achieve them. And how and why Georgi Nedelchev started shooting glass still lifes, what else complements his photographic passion and what is his philosophy behind the lens? We will tell you when we meet him in the "Photographers" section of our blog next week.
And here's how to get to Dynaphos:
