Cooke S8/i FF Prime 21mm T1.4 Lens (Metric, PL)

The Cooke S8/i FF lenses are designed to give you maximum performance at full aperture (T1.4) with reduced distortion, controlled flares and aberrations. The large lens barrel diameter allows for more focus markings, particularly at close focus, with a four-point contact bearing also providing smooth backlash-free movement. 

The S8/i FF are designed to be used in various shooting scenarios and configurations, with the balance ratio with modern digital cinema cameries also being suited for handheld and Steadicam work.

The entire range has a common fixed front diameter of 104mm (excl. 18mm at 136mm), with a focus drive gear of 140T x 0.8 mod and an iris drive gear of 134T x 0.8. The maximum aperture across the majority of the lineup is T1.4. The entire S8/i FF range is colour balanced and colour matched, allowing it compatibility with other Cooke lenses.

The S8/i FF lenses also, of course, support Cooke's /i technology, allowing synchronization with compatible cameras and accessories and providing /i data focus and iris position, motion inertial data and /i maps factory calibrated shading and distortion data, which might be especially useful for virtual productions and NRT workflows.
